Hi! I'm Eileen. Born and raised in NJ, yet I never had a perm or talked with a Jersey accent. I spent many summers on Cape Cod and still summer there every year. I went to college in RI where I met my husband. After college I moved to the North Shore of Boston for my first "real" job. I was ready to live on the North Shore forever but it was not meant to be. In April of 2002 we moved below the Mason Dixon line. While there have been times it was hard to get used to the difference of VA vs MA, we have made a lovely home for our family in NoVa. Believe it or not, I have even worked "y'all" into my vocabulary.
So after much thought I came up with the title "Lobster Meets Peach". And I hope to share bits and pieces of our life here and see if a northern gal can embrace her inner southern belle.
Eileen

Ha! I live on the North Shore now! How funny to have found your blog :) I grew up spending (and still spend) summers on Nantucket. I am really looking forward to your blog :) I actually dream of moving South, but am pretty planted here!!
ReplyDeleteAs a southern belle who spends a lot of time in the chowda state, I can't wait to read your blog! Welcome to the blogosphere!
ReplyDeleteAh I'm from NoVa originally! Arlington to be exact. Love it! I go to school in Charlottesville now (which you should totally make a weekend trip to..it's beautiful VA countryside!). I go up North now all the time to visit my boyfriend in NYC but I also have some family in Jersey! Funny how we both have been up and down the East Coast!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the sweet welcomes!
