TGIF II!

I have to admit that I thought blogging during the summer would be so much easier without all of the school year rushing.  Boy was I wrong!  While we have been busy and getting things done each day is different.  No real structure is making hard to blog and read all of your blogs.  So once again I am indebted to April of A. Liz Adventure!  How sweet is she to have a link-up that is a list!?!

{1} Pool Time

An afternoon at the pool is summer time perfection to me!  Normally we have gotten things checked off our to-do during the morning and then we hit the pool.  The kiddos see this as a reward so they are happy to run all about town on whatever errands I say must be done as long as I promise to take them to the pool when we are done.  They have such a great time swimming together and seeing friends.  All three kiddos wear themselves out at the pool.  Which means they all sleep-in the next morning!!!

{2} Retail Therapy

I am just in love with the J. Crew pineapple tee.  To me, the pineapple is such an East Coast symbol of hospitality.  And the best part is that it is on sale!!!

{3}  Free Movies

One of our local movie theater hosts free movies two times during the week in the summer months.  This is such a fun outing since we always run into friends on a rainy day.  And my paper-bag trick is still working for us!

{4} Red Solo Cup

Have you seen that Paper Source is selling reusable Solo cups!?!  These cups always put a smile on my face because they remind me of my college years at Providence College.  And while the song is cheesy I still like it :)

{5} Homemade Ice Cream

We made our first batch of homemade ice-cream last night.  I cannot tell you how much all five of us are looking forward to eating it tonight.  If I am feeling like a super nice mom, I might even get us some hot fudge to make sundaes.

Here's to the weekend friends!!!

  2. That paperbag trick is amazing!! Thanks.

Love that pineapple tshirt also. Pineapples always make me smile because of what they symbolize.

  3. There is nothing as good as homemade ice cream! I love it, but I just never seem to have the room in my fridge to freeze my KitchenAide ice cream maker attachment. #firstworldproblems

I know a few people who would get a KICK out of those reusable Solo cups!

  5. This sounds like a summer out of a movie, seriously so perfect! Also, you make such a good point about lack of structure. Somehow when I have no schedule or nothing I have to get done, I am so much less productive.
